That's not Malaysia "boleh", that's Malaysia "bodoh"

Well, I did not mean to blog another post only a few minutes away from my previous post but something just caught my attention. A friend of mine, Charles just sent me a link in MSN and I find it interesting. The title is none other than 'While Malaysia fiddles, its opportunities are running dry' by Michael Backman.
MALAYSIA'S been at it again, arguing about what proportion of the economy each of its two main races — the Malays and the Chinese — owns. It's an argument that's been running for 40 years. That wealth and race are not synonymous is important for national cohesion, but really it's time Malaysia grew up.

It's a tough world out there and there can be little sympathy for a country that prefers to argue about how to divide wealth rather than get on with the job of creating it.

The long-held aim is for 30 per cent of corporate equity to be in Malay hands, but the figure that the Government uses to justify handing over huge swathes of public companies to Malays but not to other races is absurd. It bases its figure on equity valued, not at market value, but at par value.

Many shares have a par value of say $1 but a market value of $12. And so the Government figure (18.9 per cent is the most recent figure) is a gross underestimate. Last month a paper by a researcher at a local think-tank came up with a figure of 45 per cent based on actual stock prices. All hell broke loose. The paper was withdrawn and the researcher resigned in protest. Part of the problem is that he is Chinese.

"Malaysia boleh!" is Malaysia's national catch cry. It translates to "Malaysia can!" and Malaysia certainly can. Few countries are as good at wasting money. It is richly endowed with natural resources and the national obsession seems to be to extract these, sell them off and then collectively spray the proceeds up against the wall.

This all happens in the context of Malaysia's grossly inflated sense of its place in the world.

Most Malaysians are convinced that the eyes of the world are on their country and that their leaders are world figures. This is thanks to Malaysia's tame media and the bravado of former prime minister Mahathir Mohamad. The truth is, few people on the streets of London or New York could point to Malaysia on a map much less name its prime minister or capital city.
As if to make this point, a recent episode of The Simpsons features a newsreader trying to announce that a tidal wave had hit some place called Kuala Lumpur. He couldn't pronounce the city's name and so made up one, as if no-one cared anyway. But the joke was on the script writers — Kuala Lumpur is inland.

Petronas, the national oil company is well run, particularly when compared to the disaster that passes for a national oil company in neighbouring Indonesia. But in some respects, this is Malaysia's problem. The very success of Petronas means that it is used to underwrite all manner of excess.
The KLCC development in central Kuala Lumpur is an example. It includes the Twin Towers, the tallest buildings in the world when they were built, which was their point.
It certainly wasn't that there was an office shortage in Kuala Lumpur — there wasn't.
Malaysians are very proud of these towers. Goodness knows why. They had little to do with them. The money for them came out of the ground and the engineering was contracted out to South Korean companies.

They don't even run the shopping centre that's beneath them. That's handled by Australia's Westfield.

Next year, a Malaysian astronaut will go into space aboard a Russian rocket — the first Malay in space. And the cost? $RM95 million ($A34.3 million), to be footed by Malaysian taxpayers. The Science and Technology Minister has said that a moon landing in 2020 is the next target, aboard a US flight. There's no indication of what the Americans will charge for this, assuming there's even a chance that they will consider it. But what is Malaysia getting by using the space programs of others as a taxi service? There are no obvious technical benefits, but no doubt Malaysians will be told once again, that they are "boleh". The trouble is, they're not. It's not their space program.

Back in July, the Government announced that it would spend $RM490 million on a sports complex near the London Olympics site so that Malaysian athletes can train there and "get used to cold weather".

But the summer Olympics are held in the summer.

So what is the complex's real purpose? The dozens of goodwill missions by ministers and bureaucrats to London to check on the centre's construction and then on the athletes while they train might provide a clue.

Bank bale outs, a formula one racing track, an entire new capital city — Petronas has paid for them all. It's been an orgy of nonsense that Malaysia can ill afford.

Why? Because Malaysia's oil will run out in about 19 years. As it is, Malaysia will become a net oil importer in 2011 — that's just five years away.

So it's in this context that the latest debate about race and wealth is so sad.

It is time to move on, time to prepare the economy for life after oil. But, like Nero fiddling while Rome burned, the Malaysian Government is more interested in stunts like sending a Malaysian into space when Malaysia's inadequate schools could have done with the cash, and arguing about wealth distribution using transparently ridiculous statistics.

That's not Malaysia "boleh", that's Malaysia "bodoh" (stupid).

Free as a bird at last...

Final exam is finally over yesterday. It was the Financial Management II paper and due to lack of sleep as well as too much computer games the night before, I managed to do 30% of the questions confidently...question 1 and the exchange rate part. Other questions are damn easy but I forgot the answers.
I was gaming (some detective game) the whole night till about 12am then I started studying. Made myself a huge mug of thick hot chocolate hopefully the caffeine could hold my eyes and brain open longer. After 3 hours plus, I couldn't absorb anything at all. Then a thought came into my mind : If I study longer, my brain still cannot absorb anything, and since I didn't understand a thing I've read through, why bother? After all, it makes no difference if I didn't study. So why waste time? With that, I shut down my laptop and fell asleep almost immediately after I lied down.
When I reached the exam hall the next morning, before 9am, I saw a massive assembly of human being outside the hall, like want to do some protest. Hehe! And everybody's face displayed the same expression! ZOMBIE-FACE!!! LOL... All the faces showed lack of sleep, lack of nutritions (itulah, budak uni suka makan Maggi banyak sangat), additional pimples, panda eyes, bird nest hair, etc...and they were holding stacks of notes!
I prefer free-hand when I go to sit for exams. I mean, what for keep looking at the notes and make yourself more confused? Isn't it the final minutes before entering the exam hall are the time for relaxation and to compose yourself? Summore, these people who love to excite themselves by studying till the very last minute outside the exam hall always like to ask around showing off that they have memorized a part correctly. And if you happen to beg to differ, they will defend themselves untill you come up with proof that they made mistakes then they will shut the hell up and go back to their notes!
What was that for? Being a kiasu is not enough is it? Plus another kiasi in front of your name lor, satisfied?
This kind of attitude has pissed me off for a long time already! If you want to excite yourselves at the last moment before entering the battle field, just sit at one corner and don't disturb others lah! We don't want to know what you've memorized. It would be between you and the papers only after all, so why bother to mess up people's mind? Just leave us the hell alone!

Beware of cross-symbol biscuit

*inhale deeply* *exhale deeply*
Alright, enough about the pervert old man! Three continuous posts about him, wasting my bandwidth only. Good thing I did not pollute my blog with his hum sup face. Heheh!
Well, here's something interesting enough to ponder:
Biskut lambang salib? PPIM buat laporan polis
10-11-2006 08:39:44 PM

Beliau enggan mengulas lanjut.

BERNAMA

In short, some idiots went to the ice-cream company and complained that there is a cross on their biscuit, a symbol of Christianity. On the oreo-like biscuit got the capital letter T and a small letter t. And they took offence of an innocent small letter t!
I'm going to try that ice-cream though. It's WALL'S. What's the difference does it make after you eat and swallow it, right? After all, everything will come out as shit after the digestion. So, what's the fuss over an innocent t? Moron!

Hum Sup Municipal Council president Abu Bakar Hassan - minta maaf juga akhirnya

Read the news from The Star - Abu Bakar says sorry over remark just now and was wondering why he was doing it so unwillingly. It doesn't sound or look like a sincere apology to me or to anybody else.
He said investigation were under way and that disciplinary action would be taken against the control room operator if he is found guilty of any wrongdoing.
Excuse me? Now you are saying that it was the control room operator at fault? The sexist remark 'sexily dressed' was made by you and it was heard by every pair of ears in the room and now you are putting the blame on the operator? *speechless*
Extract of transcript of council president Datuk Abu Bakar Hassan’s press conference.

Q: Dr Teng (state Local Government committee chairman Datuk Dr Teng Hock Nan) has said that you denied making the remark.
A: There is a misunderstanding. I have said in the press release that I apologise if my remark had hurt anyone’s feelings, including Melissa (New Straits Times reporter Melissa Darlyne Chow). I openly apologise.
Misunderstanding? First, you made the remark. Then you denied it. And now you said "apologise if my remark hurt anyone's feelings". So, that means you admit you actually made that sexist remark lah?

Q: Can you explain why the misunderstanding occurred? We had asked you whether you thought the reporter was sexily ...?
A: No ... no ... no. I have explained (in the press release) that it is a misunderstanding ... that is all.
Oh, so fast to deny, deny, deny leh! Just say the word "misunderstanding" and get away with it? Hey, orang tua, you tidak menjawab soalan langsung lah! Really bo tak chek wan lah this pervert.

Q: Do you think all the reporters (at the function) quoted you wrongly? We confirmed the remark with you twice.
A: I was talking about the dress code. I said (newsmen) must not wear sexy dresses (to cover council meetings) ... please do not relate this remark to the CCTV incident. I did not say because she was sexy, the incident occurred. I did not mean that.
Then what did you mean? If the incident didn't occur, you would not make such remark. What does that have to do with dress code? Even the Public Service Department said that Melissa was decently attired. And why the hell you go and bising-bising connect dress code with CCTV incident? Another 'misunderstanding', I supposed?

Q: That day you said “being sexy is the issue ..." and then you said if she had worn a normal dress, this would not have happened. We all heard it.
A: My statement was misunderstood. I was only talking about the attire in general. Do not relate it to this case because it is unfair.
Then what is fair?
'Misunderstood'? Have you no other better word than this???
They nailed it right in the forehead and yet kept denying it. What an egomaniac pervert!

Pervert old sexist mxxxer fxxxer

Hah! As I predicted in my previous post, that old pervert Abu Bakar Hassan (he ain't got honour to be addressed as datuk) is in self-denial again, contradicting with everything he has said earlier. After reading today's news titled Teng: Don't skirt issue and this piece of news here, I couldn't help laughing my ass off!
You see, this time, it's state executive councillor Datuk Dr Teng Hock Nan talking on behalf of the hum sup asshole. And uncle Teng only adviced him to meet the media to make his stand. Summore saying, like what I predicted, that the media 'misunderstood' him. What the fuck lah!!!
Hello! We are not 3-year-olds to be fooled by you, okay! What you've said, you've said it. What else is to be 'misunderstood' about the phrase 'sexily dressed'? So simple English you cannot understand ar? I don't find some other meaning behind that phrase. Sedar diri lah, latuk. Make mistake already doesn't want to admit, summore blame the media for 'misunderstanding' you. With that, you are just a notch above retard, the scum of the earth and what a waste of space only!
If you do not mean what you've said, then don't say it in the first place and caused public outrage! Being a 'bertamadun' person like yourself should know better when to shut up! Making that sexist remark will only reduce people's respect on you.
An idiot like Abu Bakar Hassan should be punished jia lat jia lat so that he sedar diri. I actually detest people who make statements yang tidak berasas!

Penang Municipal Council president Datuk Abu Bakar Hassan is one heck of a HUM SUP old man!

This piece of new from The Star Metro North really got onto my nerves!
This is yet another never-put-your-brain-in-gear-before-putting-your-mouth-in-action syndrome that has swept and infested many people in the authority. The pervert old man in my topic today is Penang Island Municipal Council president Datuk Abu Bakar Hassan. Want to know why he made such remark? You should see his hum sup face here - top left - and you'll know what I mean. Uncle Lim also blogged about this issue.
This irresponsible asshole blamed women jounalists for being dressed sexily (whatever that means) during council meeting.
And the most embarrassing of all is this:
"Newsmen covering the full council meeting at City Hall were shocked to find the closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera zooming onto the thighs of the women journalists instead of the council proceedings."
Well, well...what should I say? I'm totally speechless after reading that. This is what happen if you provide first-world facilities to some scums of the earth. And then, blame it all on women! Some religious leaders, politicians, etc - especially the male ones just love to point their fingers at women at all cost without using their smaller-than-peanut brain first. I say, if they use their ass to actually think, they'll be smarter knowing when not to open their stinking mouth!
When rape cases are on the rise, they blame women, old man marrying young chick they also blame women, local guys marry foreign girls also they blame women, divorce also they blame women, everything also they say women gatal. I just remembered a poster I came across about a seminar by an uztaz titled 'Kegatalan Wanita' had been posted all around the university!!! What the hell was with that?!!!
The funny thing is: Why the hell they always blame women when the women are the victims of their male lust? Why women always get blamed for the way they dress when in fact, victims of such crimes are attired in loose baju kurung with a tudung, regarless of age and also children?
Moral of the story?
The retarded asshole who made such sexist remarks should have his testicles ripped off!!!

First BM then English, now BM again

What the hell is wrong with the blardy garmen? I have been using BM since Primary One till Form Five then suddenly they came up with such a 'WISE' idea to switch Science and Maths subjects to ENGLISH! *clap! clap! clap!* Those guinea pigs were students in Primary One, Form One and Lower Six! It was 2003. I was one of the guinea pigs being tested.
Somehow, it wasn't that bad. In fact, I prefer English when it comes to Science and Maths as they are the global subjects. Summore hor, all my subjects in Form Six are taught in English - Pure Maths, Physics and Chemistry and only one bloody useless subject was taught in BM - Pengajian Am. As my BM was pretty OK at that time, I didn't give a damn about my PA. Somehow I just got so used to English that my BM started to obey the Newton's Law of Gravitational Force!
Then, I was offered a place in a local university in the northern province. To my horror, this fucking university is still using BM as bahasa perantaraan! And some more, here got a lot of international student ler. I temporary forgot what were the BM terms for gradient and probability so I used English terms in my quizes instead. The idiotic lecturer marked me WRONG! When I argued, she said it was the wrong term and if I insisted, there's nothing much she could do about it because that's the way it is with the policy!
Later on, when I asked the TNC regarding the usage of language, he thick-facedly said that BM is still used as many students couldn't understand English! What the fuck! I mean, it's the student's problem if they cannot understand English, right? The students should take initiative to learn and master the language if they know they are poor at it, right? This is university ler, wei! No more spoon-feeding lah, uncle! With such an irresponsible reply from someone with authority, there was no doubt why this university was ranked TOP 2 in The Most Unemployed Graduate Rate in the country.
After listening and watching class presentations by some of my fellow coursemates, I just couldn't agree more with the unemployment ranking! In fact, if UUM is ranked No.1, I wouldn't blink at all. No, I'm not looking down on their weaknesses. The fact is that you must be realistic, their language really sucks like anything! Reading from a prepared text isn't difficult at all and yet they just couldn't get that through. English is not a foreign language! Even though majority of those who committed such crime are Malays, I am ashamed to say that my fellow Chinese counterparts are worse than them! It was hilarious listening to presentations in both Malay English and Mandarin English!
I couldn't point my finger at them, though, because most lecturers here just could not speak proper English at all! Some tried but failed miserably. Some even proudly claimed to have graduated from universities in Scotland, USA, England, Australia, etc and yet, their bahasa rojak is nothing that sound like English at all...Guru kencing berdiri, murid kencing berlari...true, eh?
Besides, BM should be their master language since they are Malays, right?
W-R-O-N-G!!!
Their BM is not that good either. And I am proud to say that being a Chinese, I can master both BM and English pretty well. My BM teacher (a Malay) once told me that "Essei awak tak macam karangan orang Cina langsung". And I am not a banana. I know Mandarin too. The BM they are using here is Bahasa Melayu Kedah, unlike the Bahasa Melayu Baku I used back in school. When I first came here and spoke BM, people thought I came from Indonesia!
0_o
Back to the media, I read from Sassy MP the other day that they are going to switch from using English to teach Science and Maths back to BM. What the fuck is with that??? Switching here and there for what??? You are scared that BM will pupus? Get real lah, majority people are still speaking BM, okay! Whether you like it or not, English is still the most important as it is the global language of science and technology.
Make up your mind, ministers!!! Don't keep switching at your pleasure without thinking of the consequences that might befall the victims. They are not your sex slave to be fucked upside down, inside out as you wish, okay!!! Stop making the youngsters confused and blur like sotong when they are now already halfway sesat! And you expect them to be the future leaders to lead this country? You must be joking!

Ungku Aziz is Pak Lah's supporter

Ungku Aziz: Why Pak Lah is different from others

KUALA LUMPUR: Three factors distinguish Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi from his four illustrious predecessors, said Royal Professor Ungku Aziz.

He said Abdullah was the first Prime Minister to declare an unambiguous priority for the dejected rural people, as compared with the others who relegated this to a lesser position in favour of industrial development.

Ungku Aziz said the second factor was that, in line with his noble aim, Abdullah was making a game attempt to redress the imbalance of rural poverty.

“Thirdly, unlike some people who melepas batuk di tangga (are superficial), Abdullah has sincerely and boldly come out in favour of genuine national unity embracing all races,” he said in his speech at the launch of the Royal Professor Ungku Aziz Chair at Universiti Malaya.

Abdullah was a former student of the university more than 40 years ago.
Courtesy of The Star Online
Wah! Ini uncle also kuat lihai wor. He simply hentam! But then this fellow is brave lor, at least he's not scared kena dragged down from the stage for making such a speech. What he said has some truth lah. But I'm not all for Pak Lah. PM or Dr M, both I don't really like...their old man syndrome has really started to annoy me. Macam budak-budak!
Even Pak Lah was a former student also no need to angkat him so high eh. Later the lubang hidung kembang till the KTM also can pass through ler. Need him to sponsor some money is it? Then no need use this method lar, old trick liao. Improve your university first, don't let it drop again, then you can ask anyone you like to chip in...

What A PIG!

"Eat less pork as many pig farmers are suspected of using the banned drug beta-agonist in their pig feed..."
What is it with beta-agonist? We are going to die anyway. Only a matter of time mar...
Hello, Uncle Chua...itu babi suspected only okay, why the hell ask us to be patient and wait lar! I know lah the pig's health you punya Ministry of Health section. The pig sty is under Ministry of Housing, correct? And when the babi cross the road and don't pay toll then it's Sami Vellu punya pasal hoh????
You know what, pork has became our daily consumption even if our 'certain' counterparts are 'allergic' to them. Pork is our source of wisdom. Hey, don't laugh! Kenapa? Tak percaya kah? Try staying away from pork and see yourself, or rather, your brain deteriorate! Summore you said some of the pigs are slaughtered in illegal slaughter house. Please lah, wei. Is there any place called 'sembelih babi secara halal'???
Every part of the pig also we olang Cina sapu all, i.e. pig's brain (Yummy!), pig's intestines (delicious!), pig's tongue (fantastic!), pig's ear, pig's stomach, pig's kidney (superb!), from head to toe also we sapu habis! That's why we are smart! Because we are blessed with wisdom for not wasting a single bit of the pig's part. Haha! Amazing!
And the question remains:
To pig or not to pig?

Dr M is on the Front Page again!

Well, after the cat and dog fight with Pak Lah, some secret meetings with that fellow, then tembak balik, etc now he is back with that handsome face of his on the front page again.
Full report here.
First it was because he just couldn't keep his hands off the current management, then criticized the PM, later ler some other people created havoc and he's not on the front page. Some other guy with his grand palace that selling satay in some forbidden area was the main attraction.
Maybe Dr M buay song lor since he thinks he's so damn good-looking so he must be in the news all the time. But I don't think this time he purposely made it to the top.
Yalar, being so old already, dahlah already retired, bising-bising with the current buay ho seh system, mana tidaknya kena heart attack? That old guy better go honeymoon with his wife and relax lah...leave the rest to Pak Lah lor. If he's not satisfied with Uncle Lah then why the hell he chose him as his successor in the first place ler?
The conspiracy theorist inside me tells me that this is all planned by the batu head himself. The mastermind behind all the current chaos in the country.
*playing X-Files tunes*
The TRUTH is in here, in the country!

Zakaria QUITS...finally!

Zakaria finally quits
by SHAHANAAZ HABIB, LOONG MENG YEE and IZATUN SHAARI
SHAH ALAM: Port Klang assemblyman Datuk Zakaria Md Deros has finally decided not to continue as Klang municipal councillor.
In a statement released around midnight, Zakaria said his decision not to accept nomination was made following Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi's advice yesterday.
Full report here.
source: The Star Online
For more than twenty years this fellow served as MPK councillor and for more than 20 years people trusted him. But then what? Harapkan pagar, pagar makan padi. Taking FULL advantage of his position to build a 'mansion' without submitting the building plan to the council. Some more illegally built a restaurant DZ Satay House on state reserve land.
And they only ADVICED him to QUIT????????????
WTF!!! No legal actions? No warning? No saman? No ass-kissing? No CIA intervention? No war? No drama? No tearing off his Datuk-ship? Just ADVICE??? Just a F***ING ADVICE???
And whether he really paid up what he owed also we are not informed about the full story. Come on! We, the rakyat, want to see some drama! Like the PM-Dr M cat and dog fight. This whole thing is getting lame, the headlines are so predictable that I actually managed to save the money of buying newspapers for something else!
Please lah...we want some action-flicked ass-kicking thriller!!!

The Infamous KIASU

Definition: afraid to lose out (Hokkien)
No word in any dictionary, be it Oxford or self-made, is considered more Singaporean than kiasu. Why Singapore? Well, there is no better way to describe the infamous Singaporean trait of not wanting to be second to anyone in anything and everything. Somehow, somewhat the smoke of kiasuism has swept into the land of Malaysia like haze! And like haze, they are everywhere, every corner, even in the lubang cacing and no vaccine whatsoever or rain could make it disappear.
The original kiasu connotation is negative and its usage derogatory. Anyone seen to be kiasu invited contempt and derision.
A kiasu can be spotted miles away at a buffet lunch, piling his/her plate high with food only part of which he/she is likely to consume. This has prompted many restaurants offering eat-all-you-can fare to warn its patrons that they will be charged for food left behind on their plates. A reputable restaurant in a five-star hotel had to withdraw its offer of unlimited orders of any dish from its menu for a flat price, after too many kiasu families ordered nothing but abalone, dish after dish. To get their money's worth what!
Mr or Miss Kiasu always rushes to be at the head of a queue for anything ranging from free gifts to buying an apartment costing several hundred thousand dollars. He/She rushes into the lift before the passengers inside can even step out. You might say it has to do with our pace of life but, hey, some people just cannot wait lah!
In another word, kiasu people are selfish. He/She always takes more than he/she needs, even if it means wasting it or depriving others of it. He/She is inconsiderate. He/She is greedy. And he/she is definitely obnoxious! No wonder some people are offended by any suggestion that kiasuism is an official trait. It is an ugly tag!
Some other people reserve a good word for kiasuism. Because of his/her nature, the kiasu person will always get what he/she wants. And he/she will do a darn bloody good job and excel because he/she always wants to win! And who say it is a sin to want to win?
Some think that being kiasi is better than being kiasu because if a person dies, he/she is wiped off the face of the earth, whereas if he loses, he may still return and win. Kiasi means afraid to die.
A kiasi person is not a fool who rushes in where angels fear to tread. In business he/she will not want to risk taking on new ventures. He/She plays safe. People sneer at his/her timidity and call it cowardice. But maybe he/she is smart. In a precarious world the slow and cautious have a better chance of surviving the rat race that destroys prematurely too many of the bold and enthusiastic.
A Korean restaurant in Penang's Gurney Plaza offered Korean BBQ Buffet-style where you get to choose the raw food you wanted, as much as you like. But you'll be charged RM5 per 100g of food left on your plate! Being a kiasu as well as a kiasi, taking mountain-high pile of food and ended up could not finish them, a lot of smart fellow actually do what he/she has to do. With Mr. Bean leading as example, they tend to diversify the food and tried to hide the leftovers under the plates, inside the soup, under the glass, inside the drinks, wrap them in the napkins provided, etc. Smart, eh?
Well, kiasu and kiasi cannot be separated like oil and water. Instead, they are like brothers, or rather, conjoined. Haha!!! We, Malaysians, have them running in our blood as we have learnt at an early age to quickly seize opportunities as they arose. No amount of classroom teaching can provide the invaluable lesson of a real life experience!

Bo Bui Gai Wak

The not-so-latest Jackie Chan caper Rob-B-Hood starring himself, Louis Ku and Baby Matthew is a must watch for the season!

I got to watch it on the first day of showing in GSC, Gurney Plaza in Penang when I accidentally came across the poster upon entering the shopping complex with my best friend, KC. He then suggested that we watched it. The queue wasn't that long so finally we bought the ticket. Lucky for us that it was a Friday and we brought along our student card. Thus we get an RM5.00 for the movie!!! The normal price was RM10.00!!!

Jackie Chan played a compulsive gambler named Thongs and Louis Ku played ladies' man Octopus. They will steal anything to support their addictions to gambling and the good life. The film started with the two stealing medicine from a hospital. This turned into the best scene to start a film as the two switch from stealing medicine to rescuing a baby (Baby Matthew) plucked from the arms of his mother by her ex-boyfriend, Max.

Thongs and Octopus usually get their assignments from their landlord (Michael Hui), now set to retire with a safe full of cash and a delusional wife clutching a baby doll as if it's their real infant, who died years earlier. But when the landlord is robbed, he convinces his reluctant associates on a kidnapping job expected them to land on a huge sum of money!

The target is the same baby the boys rescued earlier. Thongs and Octopus wind up looking after the baby, resulting in the usual gags that appeal to audience for whom the mere sight of a gurgling infant elicits smiles. By the time the dynamic duo is forced to hand over the bundle of joy to Max's Triad boss father, they've developed a bond too paternalistic to permit any harm upon baby Matthew.

Isn't he adorable?

I think I'm hopelessly in love with Baby Matthew!!!
